Leaves of Silver

LEAVES OF SILVER

Leaves
Shimmering, silvery
Illuminated by the sunlight
Glistening now with each breeze
Cascades swaying, turning
As a few have been caught by the wind
They twirl and tumble then;
Standing upright
They are soldiers marching
Marching in a joyous parade of nature

  8. I didn't see silver leaves, instead an intricate laced design as if weaved by Odysseus's Penelope. Just like Penelope's shroud being unraveled and weaved again, the leaves return. The leaves could as well represent the corner post of the wedding bed shared by Odysseus and Penelope for this shared secret of a living tree trunk confirmed to Penelope Odysseus had really returned from his 20 year epic journey.

    It has been a while since I read this story but I have always been fascinated with it. Sorry for the winded reply, but lace is the first thing which popped in my mind when I saw this image. The image is very pretty.
