Path of the Feather

Path of the Feather

To follow the path of a sacred life,
To see the beauty of a feather...

~ Within a sacred space...for just one special moment ~

Pausing long enough to find yourself,
Pausing to pick it from the ground...

~ It sings to you of the makes you alive ~

A trace left by your native brethren,
A gift to make your soul come alive...

~ Following the trail of little bread crumbs sprinkled about ~

It whispers you are on the right path,
It speaks that your life is sacred again...

~ We are our own Shaman ~

  1. This one has a different feel, it's like a breath of fresh air, making you think harder about life...

  2. Why, thank you, Giulia! Glad you like it!

  3. Both the image and the poem speak to me of the sacredness of life and of the need to take time to see and listen to nature.
    I like it. Thanks!

  4. That image is wonderful... the blending of nature.

  5. Thank you, Terry! I like the way you see it!

  6. I'd not read any pagan poetry before Barbara, this is really enjoyable, thank you for sharing.

  7. Thank you, Neva!
Kate, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

  8. I really like feathers and photographing them when I can. This is lovely in its rustic hue and the framing. Love the poem and very apt. :)

  9. Oh, thank you so much, Anna! :)
